BCNHS Google Apps for Education - Working on Docs and Slides




For those who haven't registered yet, make a gmail account,
make a copy of PRE-SURVEY LINK
and make a copy of GAFE AGENDA LINK

At the end of the training participants are expected:

1. to be familiarized with the Google Docs and Google Slides Interface (5 mins.)

  • navigating google drive
  • uploading and downloading a document.
  • renaming a document.

2. to create a one slide google slide, demonstrating the following skills: (15 mins.)

  • Changing the formatting of the slide
  • Inserting a picture and a link on the slide
  • Inserting a quote on the slide by using research tools.

3. to collaborate with other participants on a one page google docs which features five type of students in the classroom, demonstrating the following skills: (20 mins.)

  • Creating one google docs with the title: 5 types of students inside the classroom.
  • Use of a google docs template: CLICK TO USE THE TEMPLATE
  • Sharing the google docs to 5 participants.
  • Assigning one editor, one layout artist and contributors.
  • Using the chatbox and comment
  • Adding an add on to their google document (e.g. mindmeister)
